NORTH-WESTERN PREDATORS GRIDIRON
Friday 11/5/2012 - PANTHERS v TROJANS 7:00pm @ 5Sports, Endeavor High School, Caringbah.
PANTHERS STICK IT TO SYDNEY UNI IN THE FINAL SECONDS
4/5/2012
The Panthers were abruptly woken from the recent complacency as the Cubs stripped and recovered the ball
on the opening play of the game and marched it in for the score. The Panthers came straight back and scored on
a deep pass on the next play from scrimmage. From then on, the score differential was never greater than 10
points. At the half, the Panthers had a narrow 2 point lead, but the Cubs fired out of the gates and grabbed the lead.
With 10 minutes left, the Panthers were down 2 scores, but the defence dug deep and forced the Cubs to punt. After a long
tough march to the endzone, we were back within 2 points. The defence once again came up big and forced the turnover as the Cubs
tried to win the game on a long 4th down at mid-field. After a Timeout by the Cubs, we had a 60 second running clock to score.
The first play was broken up bya stout defensive secondary, but as the Panthers hurried back to the line, the Cubs struggled to
line up and Receiver Aidan Young-Bowman got the jump on his cornerback. Theo Ott stepped up in the pocket and delivered a perfect
spiral to win the game with no time left. Sealing the Panthers 5th place going into their first playoff appearance. 40 - 34.

PANTHERS AND JAGUARS BATTLE IT OUT FOR KING OF THE NORTH-WEST
27/4/2012
After a last minute change in schedule, some of the heart and passion we had hoped to see in the
innaugural Predator Bowl was squandered as the game was moved from our home field to Kyeemagh. Venue aside, the
game was fought valiantly on both sides, but in the end the experience of the Panthers proved to strong for the Jaguars.
54 - 0.

PANTHERS CRUISE THROUGH CHIEFS
20/4/2012
After a dominant performance against the Seahawks, the Panthers came out strong and put the
game away early. A strong performance from Jack 'Mamba' Marton and Theo Ott rolled over the Chiefs
to create huge score and momentum advantage going into the second half. We used this time to try out
a few different play options and work out the kinks in the offensive system. Panthers over Chiefs. 40 - 14.

PANTHERS GET BACK ON TRACK
13/4/2012
After 3 tough losses on the road, the panthers used the easter break to reload and re-focus.
QB Michael Candiloro returned for his first game back after suffering an ankle injury in the season
opener. After an average starting few series, the offense found its rythm and put up 3 quick scores,
utilising their powerful passing game to diminish any remaining fight from the seahawks and shut them
out for the entire second half. Panthers over Seahawks, 34 - 12.

PANTHERS FIND THEIR SPARK, BUT TOO LITTLE TOO LATE
31/3/2012
Once again under-prepared, down players and coaches due to draw re-scheduling, the Panthers
started off slow and truggled to pull any momentum in the first half without their offensive
coordinators. A strong Trojans running attack proved hard to contain for a tired and unspirited
Panthers defense. Whilst the tempo picked up, once Alex de Pyper and Myself arrived back from the
NSW v QLD AGL match, and points started to pile in our favour with the help of some cheeky kick-offs,
the clock ultimately beat us. Trojans over Panthers, 52 - 36.

BRUMBIES STRUGGLE TO DOMINATE PANTHERS
24/3/2012
Once again missing players on a Saturday, the Panthers were also missing half their
coaching staff to the NSW Wolfpack v Victoria Eagles game. QB Theo Ott showed exceptional
experience and leadership in managing the Panthers offense against last year's champion
Brumbies, putting up 3 TD. Unfortunately, lacking in numbers, the Panthers were worn down
by the run to just a 2 TD defeat. Brumbies over Panthers, 32 - 18.

PANTHERS STRUGGLE WITHOUT KEY PLAYERS
17/3/2012
The introduction of saturday games within the colts have always proven difficult
for the sydney based teams as a lot of players have other sporting commitments to attend
to. After a long drive up the coast and missing their starting RB and MLB/SS, the Panthers
never seemed to spark as a team, despite an opening kick-off return TD by Australian
Representative, Jack Marton. The theme of the game was the Panthers coming up one play short.
Our defense would hold the Central Coast offense to a short 4th down on several occasions,
but struggled to put up those final efforts to turn the ball over, with several calls
going the other way. Our offense fought valiantly but lacked the consistency to wear down
the opposition's defense with our ability to spread the field on a suspiciosly narrow field.
The Sharks powerful running saw them victorious 34 - 12.

JAGUARS SHOW PROMISE THROUGH THE AIR AND ON THE GROUND
9/3/2012
The Jaguars put on a very impressive display of heart and talent in the whole teams
first ever game. The whole team showed incredible resilience against a much bigger and experienced,
West Sydney Trojans. The defense struggled to contain the Trojans athletic runningback
on the sidelines. The offense played with tremendous execution on the ground and especially
in the air. Special mention must go to Campbell Duffy, Aaron Deeath, Chris Walker and the
entire O-Line who came together for an honorable 14 points. All in all the Jags should be
commended an outstanding performance for a team of all freshman. As I explained our clubs
first junior game ever went for a 76-0 thumping and we didn't score a point until the 7th
game and it was on Defense! So they are performing leaps and bounds above anything we could
have expected. Heads up Jaguars, stay low and keep those feet moving. Gridiron is about
determination, persistence and heart!

PANTHERS BLOW OUT UTS
9/3/2012
The Panthers went out with a chip on their shoulder and came out firing on all cylinders.
After a key first defensive stand and a 30yd touchdown to open the first offensive possession,
the Titans struggled to keep up with a Panthers offense that was almost flawless.
The defense improved exponentially from last week and kept the Titans to an impressive
18 points with which I would like to nominate MVPs but it would have to be all of them.
In the end, the Panthers cruised to a 58-18 victory. The Panthers sending a clear message to the league
that they are in the hunt for their first Waratah Bowl Trophy.

PANTHERS OPEN STRONG BUT STRUGGLE LATE AGAINST BONDI
2/3/2012
The final score doesn't reflect the game. Panthers were up 22-20 at the half.
But struggled to keep the intensity up late in the second with some nagging injuries.
All in all a buzzer beater touchdown put the raiders up 42-28.
